Through a bi-annual grant program, WSCF supports initiatives across five impact areas:

Applications for WSCF’s Spring 2026 grant cycle will open in February.
Mission
Ensure that the area’s increased investment and heightened economic activity brings demonstrable benefits and improved services to the residents of the west side – particularly under-resourced, long-time residents.
Vision
Strengthen west side communities by:
Improving community members’ quality of life
Increasing opportunities and services community members can access
Addressing unmet needs in the community
Fortifying organizations that serve and benefit underserved residents
Grant Eligibility
Past WSCF-funded initiatives have included community health centers, block and tenants’ associations, non-profits, schools, NYCHA developments, youth leadership programs, food pantries, social services for seniors, neighborhood news groups, arts programs, and more. Individuals who deliver services, such as teachers, are also eligible to apply. Past grant winners may re-apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
Proposed services must occur in the Chelsea, Hudson Yards, or Hell's Kitchen area (i.e., Community Board 4 catchment area)
The applicant organization's total annual budget must be below $15 Million
Grants cannot support religious or partisan activities, nor programs that promote any form of discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability
